Antique Road Show

Last night there was nothing on TV so I found myself watching the Antique Road show. Do you ever find yourself watching something that is so boring and you don’t realize it until a half hour later? Well, that was me last night. As I get older I find myself doing this more and more. QVC is another attention getter. You know you’re old when you watch QVC.
As I sat and watched the Antique Road Show, this lady came on showing off her idem she found at a yard sale which she bought for a dollar. The idem was a small vase that looked like something you would buy at the dollar tree. I wasn’t impressed. I like to try and guess what the idem is worth I thought the vase couldn’t be worth more than hundred dollars, which I thought high.
As the expert examined the vase he, saw the marking on the bottom which really gave the value to the vase. He estimated that the vase was worth 15 – 18 thousand dollar. When I heard the value, I yield across the house to tell Bethany that she would not believe that this vase, this lady bought for a dollar is worth 18 thousand dollars. I said we need to start going to yard sales!
There are many things that have value and one is you. You are not some throw away. You are have value and are important. God has a destiny for you. Maybe its time to start believe what God say’s we are worth, rather than believing the people that think they are experts. We have too many vases that believe they are worth a dollar, when they are worth thousands.
